I love to shop at needlepoint and yarn stores. But I was frustrated by how hard it was to find stores when I traveled. Now, with my Travel Guide and website, it's easy!

Each time I walk into this shop I am filled with a sense of wonder. I am immediately surrounded by beautiful quality yarns and knitting, crochet and needlepoint classes that encourage me to develop my skills, and to complete some very fine projects. The owners, Denise and Jimmy, are friendly and welcoming, always offering helpful assistance with creative suggestions and encouragement. I have also made some very good friends through the shop's weekly needlework groups and the monthly " Friday Night Knitting Club." Each time I walk through the doors at the Ewe and Eye, I feel like I'm coming home! Diana Hoffman

This shop is spinning heaven for me! The selection of rovings, fleece (washed and unwashed), spinning wheels, drop spindles, and all other spinning related accessories is just mind-blowing! Beth and the other women who work there are so nice and friendly and it is a lovely little shop to visit. They have a small but nice selection of commercial yarn, as well as locally produced handspun. And the local handdyed is great too!

This is a great little shop in Dearborn that has a very easy-to-find location. They have a nice area to sit and knit or peruse patterns, as well as a great selection of basics and luxury fibers. They have a pretty good selection of sale yarn as well, which is great, as well as tons of notions and accessories and even leather bag straps. Great shop!

I can't say enough about this yarn shop! The owner and all of her staff are so nice and friendly and helpful and the selection is amazing! They carry spinning supplies as well, including roving, wheels and drop spindles, and the sitting area is great for stopping by and knitting for a while. I honestly cannot think of a single brand I've seen somewhere else that they don't carry in some form, and they carry some great locally handspun and hand dyed yarns. If you are anywhere near the Northeast Georgia region, Watkinsville, Oconee County or Athens, Georgia, you must visit!

This shop is packed full of yarn in a very small house. The selection is only so so. There are some basics, Cascade 220 and others, but there are mostly acrylic and acrylic blends from companies I've never seen before in other shops. This is my grandmother's shop, and I can tell why, since it caters to women of her generation, as far as yarn selection goes, but the woman working there was so friendly and nice! They have a huge selection of brochures and patterns and have old copies of magazines... for those of us missing issues.

This shop was great! Its packed full of yarn, all types and all budgets, and its best feature is definitely the sale area. The sale area is huge-much bigger than any other yarn shop I've ever seen, and there seems to be a nice area to sit and knit for a while.
